Day 1, Bucharest

Today take comprehensive half a day city tour “ Classic Bucharest”. The legend says that a shepherd called Bucur, coming from the mountain found a nice spot between two rivers, Colentina and Dimbovita, which was the perfect place to settle. At fist, he built a church, Bucur’s church, then around this church developed a small village, which is now a city of Bucharest. Drive thru boulevards, see the Palace of Parliament (2nd largest building in the world), the Royal Palace, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Romanian Opera House, the Patriarch Palace. Enjoy the sites of the Village Museum & Military Museum.In the afternoon take “ Old Bucharest’ tour. Drive thru “ Podul Mogosoaia”, the favourite place to drive, ride or walk in Old Bucharest. Here the aristocracy competed who’s palace will be the best. Walk in downtown area called Old Princely Court, with its narrow streets, old buildings and the bazaar-like appearance, where the ordinary people used to spend their time drinking beer and eating ‘ mitetei’at Manuc’s Inn or at the Beer Cart restaurant. 8pm.tonight: “ Romanian evening” folklore show with dinner.

Day 2, Bucharest

After check out of the hotel your guide will take you today for tour of the Palaces of Bucharest, the tour will take you to Cotroceni Palace, a prince residence on Controceni Hill. This is the second royal residence. After ample renovations following the earthquake that damaged it in 1977, Ceausescu made it an official guest house. In 1991 the Cotroceni Palace became the residence of the president of Romania. The tour will end at the Palace of the Parliament. Enjoy some shopping before leaving Bucharest.
