Day 1, Vilnius

Today with your private guide and driver tour Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania for more than 600 years. Lutheran, Russian Orthodox, Catholic churches reflect diverse history and culture. Vilnius State University (the oldest in Eastern Europe) encompasses virtually every major architectural style for the last 400 years. The library is a must-see with its fabulous ancient manuscripts that are still available for the use of students.

On your close drive to the countryside view Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which once stretched from the Baltics to the Black Sea. The 14th century castle was erected on the small island of the lake Galve, and is today a museum of Lithuanian history. Check into your elegant downtown hotel in the late afternoon.

Tonight: a dinner and folklore show in one of the local restaurants.

Day 2, Vilnius

Morning meet the guide and tour Gedeminas Castle Museum and later visit the painters’ studio. Following lunch, you will have time to explore Vilnius on your own.

Day 3, Vilnius - Riga

Check out of the hotel, and with your private guide and driver you are off to Riga with a stop at the magnificent Rundale Palace. When Rastrelli was engaged in the construction of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, the Empress' favourite, the Duke of Courland, Ernst Biron ordered him to construct the Rundale Palace. The architect then managed to proceed with both commissions and the Versailles of Courland was created in this quiet place. You will have a nice lunch at this elegant palace and continue to proceed to Riga, Latvia. Check-in to your new downtown hotel.

Day 4, Riga

Meet your new local guide and walk through the medieval Hanseatic Old Town in Riga, which has a rich legacy of beautiful buildings, courtyards and squares. St. Peter's Church, The Big Guild, Three Brothers, the House of Blackheads, Wagner Zall - all these merchant houses, guilds and churches have that extra touch of class and wealth which is a characteristic of Riga. Begun in the 13th century by Latvia's Teutonic conquerors, the Dome Cathedral is an impressive testament to centuries of German domination. Have lunch and enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore this charming city.

Tonight: classical performance in this city full of theaters.

Day 5, Riga - Tallinn

Today you depart to Tallinn with your private guide and driver with a stop in Sigulda, where you will walk in the Gauja National Park, visit Turaida Castle dated from the 13th century. You cannot miss one of the natural wonders of Latvia - Gutmanis' Cave. Evening arrival in Tallinn, Estonia. Check-in to your elegant hotel.

Day 6, Tallinn

Meet your private local guide and have a walking tour. Tallinn’s Old Town with its medieval small winding cobblestone streets can be explored at best on foot. Architecturally, with the exception of Alexander Nevskii Cathedral, it is the Germans, Swedes and Danes who left their imposing mark on the churches and fortifications of the Old Town. Walk through charming Upper town, see Toompea Castle and Dome church. Proceed exploring the Lower Town with its Gothic Town Hall, built in early fifteenth century, and its numerous tiny art studios and cozy coffee shops. End the day with the best classical performance available in this city of Singing Revolution.
